Science--Solids, Liquids, and Gases
Our class has been learning about the three states of matter. There are solids, liquids, and gases. We are doing some simple experiments. We each had an ice cube in a ziploc bag. We wanted to see how long it would take to change the solid to a liquid. We each told what we did to get it to change. We did another experiment where we described a liquid (water) and a solid (Alka-Seltzer) . We then put the solid into the liquid and observed what happened to the solid. The children used their senses to observe the change. We will also be doing some other simple experiments which involve solids, liquids, and gases. The children are all enjoying our hands-on Science lessons.
